In a Teeside court yesterday a single mum admitted to having sex with a boy of 12 almost 200 times. It was revealed that she would ply him with alcohol and buy him gifts to get him into bed. On the ‘100th’ occasion of having sex she bought him a new pair of trainers.

The boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, boasted of his sexual exploits in online posts and Angela Sullivan the woman in question, kept a diary of their relationship, sending her son to stay with relatives so she could invite the boy around.

Yesterday Sullivan admitted to child abuse and will now have psychiatric tests carried out on her whilst being remanded in custody until February.
