10% of charities fail in their first year

10% of charities fail in their first year according to recent studies detailing the last half of 2009.
Unfortunately the recession has hit charity shops as well as the other high street shops and although charity shops survive on voluntary work, the time available for people to help is as small as it ever has been and some shops are struggling.
